We are a drinks consultancy based in Tring, Hertfordshire, about 40 miles North West of London. Established in 2011, we hit the ground running with our first client, Proximo Spirits Inc, who asked us to launch their new rum, Kraken Black Spiced, in 10 international markets. Success was immediate, and we soon attracted attention from other well known drinks companies looking for business development solutions
Nick Woodward
Founder & Consultant

Nick started his marketing career in the tobacco industry, before switching vices in 1999 to become Global Brand Manager for Glenfiddich Scotch whisky. After a number of marketing and sales roles at William Grant & Sons, including Head of Marketing for Travel Retail, he joined the entreprenuerial Sagatiba company of Brazil in 2008. When that business was sold to Grupo Campari in 2011, he founded Brand Harbour with Jonathan.  

In his spare time, Nick is an amateur stand up comedian.

Office Manager

Tricia joined Brand Harbour in 2015, after an administrative career in local education services. She runs a very tidy ship. She knows there is a place for everything and everything has its place. While the consultants are away visiting clients or attending trade shows, she makes sure the agency keeps running smoothly. Think of her as the (turbocharged) engine of Brand Harbour. 

Tricia has no spare time - she's too busy keeping her family under control.

Jonathan Welch
Founder & Consultant

Jonathan's drinks experience began with Twining's Tea, selling our national drink across the globe. A six year stint at William Grant & Sons followed, including a move to Spain to manage the business in the Iberian peninsula. In 2006, Jonathan became European Sales Director for Flor de Cana Rum, before joining the Sagatiba company, to expand their global network. In 2011, after Grupo Campari acquired Sagatiba, he founded Brand Harbour with Nick.  

Jonathan is passionate about, but utlimately disappointed by, Sheffield Utd FC.

Luisa Hallen

Originally from Venezuela, Luisa has worked with a variety of spirits brands, including Ketel One, Gin Mare and Dewars Whisky. Perhaps her most exciting experience was spending three years in India consulting with Bacardi Martini. Luisa joined the Brand Harbour team in 2019 and primarily helps to manage the UNDONE non-alc brand and Puerto de Indias Gin.

Luisa is a certified yoga instructor and full time Mezcal lover.

David Wallwork

David has extensive experience of creating brands in both the soft drinks and premium spirits categories. After working with Coca Cola, he founded the successful Feel Good Drinks brand, which was sold to a rival in 2015. David then turned his attention to spirits, launching Freya, an innovative and sustainable spirit brand made from birch sap. David joined Brand Harbour in January 2019 to help with brand and business development.  

In his youth, David was a talented ballroom dancer.

David has significant experience in both the alcoholic and soft drink categories, working for major corporations, before managing the sales and marketing for Ty Nant Spring Water, a super premium brand available in 40 countries. Until recently he ran his own UK drinks distribution business, establishing strong foundations for brands such as Copperhead gin, Mezcal Marca Negra and Gin Mare. He joins Brand Harbour as our home market specialist. 

David originally trained as a chef, and still likes ‘creating’ in his kitchen at home.

Naomi Good

Naomi started her career in hospitality, working overseas for a decade as an Area Manager for Skiworld, the UK’s largest independent ski tour operator. Returning to the UK she spent 3 years running large gin festivals, including the flagship GinFestival.com event at London’s Tobacco Dock, which attracted over 10,000 visitors. She joined Brand Harbour in 2019 to help manage our gin portfolio and to be the company's official 'Gin Ambassador'.

For fun, Naomi runs intimate gin festivals on the South Coast. 

Saira Thwaites

Saira joined the team in Summer 2020 and provides marketing support to clients and takes care of Brand Harbour's digital presence. She has contributed to the international strategy development for our premium gin and Irish whiskey brands, but is always happy to pitch in on any project where her youthful insight is required. Before joining Brand Harbour, she worked on the UK launch of Freya and was part of the management team at online retailer 31DOVER. 

Saira enjoys photography, fashion and Copalli rum and Cokes.
